New Home- Sapphire Beach
New Home- Sapphire Beach
This exciting project was a great acheivement for not only Armstrong Architects but for Coffs Harbour and Destiny Rescue. The charity organisation made headlines as they asked the Coffs community to donate time and skills to create a stunning new home to auction.
The results speak for themselves.
The timeless and elegant nature of this house blends flawlessly into the waterfront suburb in Sydney's south. While exuding style, this is also a family friendly design, with simple practical elements making it the perfect home for this young family.
Smiths Road, Emerald Beach
This 'family focus' design claimed the "Best use of colour" NSW Building Designers Award in 2009. This is my own home and is an example of contemporary design with a rural and family friendly environment.
Promised Land, Bellingen
This property won the 2010 NSW Building Designs Australia award for "Residential Alterations under $200,000." It also received a commendation in "Outdoor Living Spaces". Before the renovation, the house was dark and gloomy and isolated itself from the stunning views surrounding it. We used a 'butterfly styled' roofline to open it up to both sides and transform the space to suit their lifestyle. The house now features a magnificent flow through the kitchen and living area and a spacious outdoor area to admire the views. Designed by Armstrong Architects for Design Studio 22.
Heritage Park, Moonee
This 'rural chic' property is set on a dramatic hillside overlooking Heritage Park. This exclusive residents is designed to not only capture the rural views but the ocean glimpses and fantastic summer breeze as well.
Ocean Drive, Safety Beach
This 'seaside escape' property was designed for a long time rural couple looking for the ultimate sea change. The rooflines echo the waves of the ocean across the road. The clients requested a contemporary open plan design to reflect the lifestyle of this beachside location.
Wharf Street, Woolgoolga
A tired and dark brick home was given a new lease of life with this renovation. By thinking outside the square and relocating the entry, we were able to open up the home to create a north facing light filled living space. With large entertaining areas and a bar and pool downstairs, it is now the ultimate beachside home.
